He later attended North Carolina State University, earning a degree in Agronomy in 1997. After graduation, Scott returned to Carmel Country Club as an Assistant Superintendent before being promoted to Superintendent of the North Course, a role he held until 2010. In 2010, Scott joined Bermuda Run Country Club, where he has continued to build on his decades of experience in golf course management and turfgrass leadership. Scott and his wife, Jennifer, a business owner in Mooresville, North Carolina, have made the Lake Norman area their home for more than 30 years. They have one daughter, Elizabeth, a North Carolina State University graduate who is currently pursuing a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering. As the son of a 25-year U.S. Air Force veteran, Scott spent his childhood living in several states across the country, an experience that shaped his appreciation for community and service.
